Reid Nikolaieff was born in San Francisco and raised in Novato, CA. He is interested in the idea of creating “worlds” - places we transport ourselves to using imagination. He uses art and design to create tools that accomplish this. Works that have the ability to slow life down, creating moments of calm and encouraging imagination. His other interests include skateboarding and surfing which have a tendency to influence his work. In the summer of 2020 Reid started the skateboard label Concrete Connectors.
